Ellen Beirne RD
BSc Health and Performance Science, MSc Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics, MINDI.
Born in Dublin, Ellen completed her primary degree in Health and Performance Science in the University College of Dublin, where she discovered her passion for sports nutrition and finished first in her class, obtaining a First Class Honours Degree.
Ellen then went on to obtain a First Class Honours in the Masters in Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics in the University College of Dublin. This allowed her to extend her nutritional knowledge beyond the sporting arena to the clinical setting. Ellen currently works as a Clinical Dietitian, utilising her knowledge and experience in clinical nutrition to manage individuals with a variety of health conditions and diseases on a daily basis.
During her Masters, Ellen completed research in the National Maternity Hospital in Dublin, in the area of Hyperemesis Gravidarum. This experience afforded Ellen the opportunity to gain exposure to maternity-related nutrition and dietetics. Ellens research was published as a feature article in the Irish Nutrition and Dietetic Institute magazine.
Ellen works with athletes on a one-to-one basis and regularly gives talks and presentations to athletes at various levels, from the recreational to the elite.
